Replaces a motor on a PlusHP pump rather than the whole unit. Match the new motor's total horsepower to the impeller rating stamped on the pump. A 0.5 HP motor on an impeller rated for more will starve the pump and a motor rated for less than the impeller calls for will burn out under load.
